    Good intentions, flawed execution

    Beautiful setting and great pools provide fun for kids , while the staff is friendly and eager to help. Plus, the air conditioning works well in the rooms.

    The hotel desperately needs updates , as it appears dated. The dining options are overpriced and inconsistent, leaving room for improvement.

    Pleasant property, has wonderful staff at the main reception desk. Stunning and unbeatable location to Mali Waterfront. Great christmas in this great area near to all restaurants, bars and on the shuttle service, a nearby seafood restaurant, and the central Phuket shopping mall with all high street.

    Fine, Fine, Fine.

    The ocean view from our room was nothing short of amazing, with our very own jacuzzi on the balcony to soak in the beauty. The sprawling grounds were lush and peaceful, perfect for leisurely strolls or just lounging by the pool with a cocktail in hand. And let me tell you, the kids club was a huge hit. My little ones had a blast while we unwound at the spa-a true family paradise!

    The Centara Grand Beach Resort is a great resort for family vacation. Our main reason of choosing this hotel is due to the good reviews related to kids activiies and facilities we saw on several websites. The resort offer many activities for children including number of swimming pools, water slides, kids club and more. Especially we loved the Lazy River which is indeed unique. We arrived to the hotel after long flights with our 5 year old boy and pretty much tired. The warm welcome included refreshments and fruit shake that really gave us our energies back. The hotel is located right on the beach and our room was ocean facing so it was really great going to sleep and waking up to the voice of the waves... The resort ground is huge and hence not crowded. If you tired or your room is far from the entrance, a golf cart will happily give you a lift... The hotel has several restaurants include a very nice in water pool bar. Although the prices are a llittle high (as usual in hotels), the food is in high quality and good. In terms of value for money, we found it cost effective and the hotel indeed provide the services and facilities expected from high ranked hotel as this. In terms of personal expectations, there were no surprises, what you see on the internet is indeed what you get, as simple as that! To summarize, if you are looking for a relaxed vacation far away from the noisy Patong area, the Centara Grand Beach Resort is a great choice for you! We enjoyed every minute and highly recommend it!

    Although this was not an issue for us, we did not find an elevator that will take us to our room located at the 3rd floor...

    During my stay, I loved how the hotel was just a short walk from Karon Park, and the nearby Karon Night Market offered a vibrant atmosphere filled with delicious local food options, made my evenings enjoyable.

    Good friendly staff. Very nice pool and water activities. Excellent location for tourists with desire to be secluded. Architectural design very nice.

    Hotel is still to get its act together. We were not given our rooms till well past four pm, and had to wait two hours in the lobby for them. Finally we threw a fit and were given one room at 4:30 a nd the second one at 5:30!The room is small, and we had to call for assistance daily for minor issues like the air con not coming on, no water in the bathroom, flooding of the bathroom due to leakages which gor irritatin. The balcony gets totally flooded with any rain and becomes unusable. The corridors also get totally drenched and slippery with any rain and can be a hazard. Access to the rooms takes time as they are all v far from the lobby area. One has to change lifts to get to the room which takes over ten mins. All in all we were dismayed by the hotel.

    Fantastic facilities and a great location but the best thing is the staff who are outstanding. They are friendly, efficient and make you feel important even though the resort is quite large.

    The beach is beautiful, just steps away. We stayed in a lovely room with a balcony, minibar, and the best rain shower. Enjoyed the pools, especially the lazy river and water slides. Sunset views from the room were fine. The staff at the fitness center were super nice, and we loved the outdoor pool too!

    The checkout was clunky. We settled our bill the night before and booked a transfer to the airport for 7:00am. We did not get out of the hotel until 730. We sat around at reception for 30 minutes waiting for our bags from our room to be picked up despite being told at they were on the way. Apart from that we will come back. Great place and great staff.

    Water facilities were absolutely fantastic for kids so parents have a very relaxing time. Food was great as well at all restaurants. Just the best hotel in Phuket for families.

    You can not expect red ants in a room of 5 star resort, but we experienced that.
